SEEKING JUSTICE FOR ELIZABETH SMALLWOOD KILLED IN 2008 MELTON DR ROCKY MOUNT, NC

Elizabeth Jane Smallwood's remains were found along Melton Dr in Rocky Mount, NC in February of 2009. Police state that she could have been exposed to the elements for as much as a year before she was found.

She did not stay in contact with family so it is unclear when she went missing.

The medical examiner stated that, given the conditions in which she was found, Smallwood's death was "highly suspicious for homicidal violence." The official cause of her death remains undetermined.

Her death has been rumored to be part of the murders that Antwan Pittman committed around that same time frame. However, Pittman has not been charged.
