Seeking Justice for De'Vonte Burton who was one of two killed at a party in Pinetops, NC - Edgecombe

REWARD UP TO $15,000 SEEKING JUSTICE FOR DE'VONTE BURTON 6/20/2020 - 715 E. LASHLEY ST PINETOPS NC

At about 2:15 am on June 20, 2020 the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots being fired at 715 E. Lashley St. in Pinetops. There were over 15 people at the house that was being used as a liquor house when the shooting happened.

Pinetops police were first to arrive at the scene and found that four people had been shot.

There were four victims, De'Vonte Burton and Montrell Wilson were pronounced dead at the scene while one was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville and the fourth declined medical treatment.

Witnesses advised that a car came by and the occupants started shooting and the individuals outside the residence.

THERE WERE SEVERAL WITNESSES ON SCENE AND THERE ARE A FEW THAT KNOW WHO COMMITTED THESE MURDERS. Someone will get paid up to $15,000.

The only charges filed in connection with the incident have been against a 39-year-old female who owned the house being used as a bar.

State Alcohol Law Enforcement officials seized 76 liters of malt beverage and nearly 30 liters of “spirituous liquor.”
