JUSTICE SERVED IN MURDER OF GREENSBORO MAN FOUND IN CASTALIA

Updated: Dec 26, 2021

SUSPECT CAPTURED AND ARRESTED BY NCSO

REWARD OFFERED FOR INFORMATION ON WHO KILLED JALEEL "JT" EVANS. MISSING GREENSBORO MAN FOUND IN DEAD IN CASTALIA MAY NOT BE AS ODD AS IT SEEMS.

JALEEL TAQEE EVANS had just turned 29 when he went missing on October 1st around 730PM from a home of a female in Greensboro on E Market St.

Jaleel was born in NC and had moved to Georgia when he was young and then moved to Greensboro when he was 14 years old and has been there ever since. He has family that lives in Rocky Mount. He does visit Rocky Mount from time to time.

He was described as an easy going person with no drama.

Many have called and reached out to Fighting Crime since Jaleel who goes by "JT" was found near the entrance of Sandy Creek Gameland on Sumler Rd in Castalia on October 28th, 2020.

There have been a few stories released that were not correct on the location and time he was last seen. Those stories have since been cleared up by witnesses and family members.

Jaleel's father last saw him on September 29th at his home on Britton St. and two days later he disappeared.

On October 1st around 730pm Jaleel was at a females house on E Market St in Greensboro when he received a call from someone asking him to go to Durham with them. Jaleel did not seem comfortable going according to a friend but he went anyway. He was picked up by at least 2 males in a dark color Chevrolet. One of the males was a thin, light skin male with a red beard and freckles. Someone knows who this person is... He could be from Rocky Mount or surrounding area.

Although it would seem odd that Jaleel was found all the way in Castalia when he is from Greensboro, it is not odd at all to friends and family. A person whose family owns the land has been questioned and since lawyered up. There is not many people who know about the layout of the land in that area. Making this suspicious.

There is definitely more to this story and the family of Jaleel deserves closure and Jaleel deserves justice.

Someone has the missing piece to this puzzle.

Team Cold Case is offering a reward up to $15,000 for ANY information that will lead to the person(s) responsible for the death of Jaleel Evans.
