Murder of a man who was beaten and set on fire in Rocky Mount in 2007 still unsolved

SHANDON TEREZ HEDGEPETH who was 29 years old at the time was found in a house fire at his home at 214 N Harris Street in Rocky Mount on 07/02/2007.

Hedgepeth was found at 4:08am in the residence when firefighters were extinguishing the blaze. He was lying on the floor with a blanket over him and blindfolded. The autopsy showed multiple blunt force injuries to his head and that he may have still been alive but unconscious when the home was set on fire. His death was ruled a homicide.
