CASE OF A MAN SHOT AT A ROCKY MOUNT PARK IN 2015 STILL UNSOLVED

DEMOND RASSHUN BATTS who was 24 years old at the time was shot and killed at MLK park in Rocky Mount.

RMPD got a report of shots fired in the area. BATTS who was from Tarboro was found laying in a pool of blood on Virginia St in Rocky Mount near the MLK park on December 27th, 2015 around 11:40am. EMS tried to revive BATTS but were unsuccessful.

It is unknown why BATTS was in Rocky Mount near MLK park.
