Brothers killed 56 days apart in Rocky Mount - Cases remain unsolved

Two brothers were killed 56 days apart in Rocky Mount, NC.


The first homicide occurred on November 16th, 2020 and the second one on January 11th, 2021.


In the first homicide - RMPD was dispatched to a shot spotter activation near Meadowbrook park on November 16th, 2020 around 6:34pm. When they arrived they found Tavarus Devon Lynch 26, who was shot to death while he was sitting in a vehicle in the cul-de-sac on the 1700 block of Bedford Rd, near Meadowbrook Park.


56 days later - ECSO responded to a shooting at Cokey Rd/Fairview Rd in Rocky Mount around 10pm on January 11th, 2021. When they arrived they found Stoshua Eugene Lynch 21, shot to death in a vehicle. Another person, a female was also shot and had non life threatening injuries.


Neither of the cases have been solved.
