2017 Murder of a man who left his neighbors house after playing cards in Rocky Mount still unsolved

LEROY WILLIAM DUNSTON who was 44 yrs old at the time he was murdered was at a card game at 843 Gay Street in Rocky Mount on 12/23/2017. He lived across the street from where the card game took place.

Around 4:55am police were called to respond to a shooting. When police arrived they found Dunston in the driver's seat of his vehicle with his left foot on the outside of the pavement. He had four gunshots to his torso area and two gunshots to his thigh area. Many wonder why he was in his vehicle when he lived just across the street from the residence where he was playing cards.
